This is truly a fascinating area to all cats. It's a number of dens... on top of eachother! Humans call them Apartment Buildings, but alley cats call them Towered Dens.

Recohli stared at the great mound of bricks. He briefly wondered how the no-furs managed it. The young cat let the thought drift away. He could sit there all day, trying to answer stupid questions, or he could have a little fun. Recohli searched the windows, but there were no visible house cats to harass. He groaned. Was there ever anything to do? A nagging desire to have fun tugged at his mind, but there really wasn't anything to be done about it.

Blue casually strode down the sidewalk, gazing at the wonderous Towered Dens. Eyes resting on the young black tom, the pretty she-cat padded over curiously. "Oh hey Recohli" she mewed, flicking her tail in greeting. "Whatcha doing there?" Following his gaze, she looked up at a window. These look awefully familiar- yes, I used to live in one. She thought, tilting her head slightly.

Captain strolled down through the street purposefully without a purpose. Catching sight of blue and Recohli he drifted towards the Towered Dens. "Ahoy," he greeted the youngsters, "Out enjoying the sun, are ye?"

Scorch creeped from behind the edge of a building in attempt to secretly follow the others. Seeing that they obviously were getting far ahead of her, she hurled herself towards them at the Towered Dens. Clinging to Captain's hind leg, the young kit looked up, pupils small, and mewed quite loudly "I wasn't following you!"

Blue looked down on the kitten, a spark of amusement in her eyes. "Hi there" she mewed gently, bending down to reach eye level with the tiny thing. "Oh, hey Captain" she mewed, standing back up to full hight. "Yes- you both are welcome to join us if you'd like." Sternly looking to Recohli telling him to at least act polite, she shifted her gaze back to the towers.

Cap let out a suprised yowl as something attacked his back foot. Claws popping out, he spun around ready for a fight before noticing the kitten that had attached herself to his leg. He shook his leg vigourusly until the scrawny little thing lost its grip. "Whatcha think you're doing there?" he said to the kit, "Don't cha know I be too old for these games?"

"Hi", Scorch responded in a high-pitched mew. The tiny kit suddenly became startled as the towering tom began to rumble and she lost her grip. Plopping on the ground, she looked up at Cap' who was now speaking. "Maybe," she replied innocently

The small tom felt irritated at Blue's stern glance. Who are you to boss me around? he thought. He glanced at Blue, trying to put as much venom in his gaze as possible. The black cat brought himself up to full height. (He still wasn't much taller than Blue's shoulder, though) "I used to live in a place like this. Much nicer than these, though." he said, not bothering to keep the contempt out of his voice.

Cap chuckled a little at the kitten. "If you weren't followin' us, than what were ye doin'?" he asked.

Katida was exploring the city when she came across a group of cats. The grey she-cat sprinted towards them nearly stumbling on a lift in the pavement. She was able to keep balence and make it to the group. She looked around nodded to everybody saying, "Hey! I'm Katida a bit new to this part of the city!"

"Something," Scorch replied, pretending to be hiding a secret. Turning to a younger cat, Recohli, the tiny kit mewed loudly "Really? Was it ugly?" These words came out fast, but she wouldn't be able to use better words, anyway, since she's only a kit. Getting a longer look at who she had just spoke to, Scorch realized this was one of the meanest cats in the alley. Upon realizing this, she immediately stiffened. ------------------------------------------------------------------ "Hello!" Scorch immediately mewed at Katida's introduction. "I'm Scorch!" The tiny kit then studied the she-cat up and down with wide eyes and small pupils.

Captain eyed the stranger suspiciously. From the way she let herself out into the open he figured he had nothing to worry about, but then again he thought that if she were a spy that's exactly the kind of conclusion she would want him to draw. "Who are you and what do you think you be doing here?" he questioned the she-cat roughly.

Katida smiled at the kitten and said, "Nice to meet you!" But the older cat asked her his questions so roughly she lost the smile. "What do you think I'm a threat or something? Like i said my name is Katida and I don't feel like explaining my family past to someone I only just met." She looked him in the eye and said, "Don't I have a right to my past? To travel?" She shot the questions right back at him, yet not nearly as roughly.

"Mind your attitude, or you won't last long out here, Recruit," Captain warned the youth using his sailor's slang.
