Captain wandered back to the dens and picked his way through the rubble to his nest. He curled up, but didn't try to sleep. Rather he just watched the cats moving about.

After returning from the Heart of the City, Cattus had slept peacefully through the night. When she woke up, she stretched, yawning and testing her leg. It was five days after she hurt it and now it was feeling better. She stepped outside the Abandoned Tower and took off running, darting around bushes and circling trees. She smirked mischeviously. It was time for her to get into more trouble, and she knew just the place to do so. She took off running in the direction of The Heart of the City.

Leaf sniffed the air outside the creepy house, and she scrunched her nose up, smelling cats. Her stomach grumbled loudly, and she shivered. I'm just so hungry, and so tired... she thought, already getting into character. I think the pity kitty is the best to go for this. She thought, grinning as she stepped up the crumbling concrete to the door. Putting on her best sad face, Leaf stepped through the door silently, and moved to the edge of the wall. Ghosting along the old brick, she sat next to a random cat who looked innocent enough. There Leaf sat, looking down at Captain, with a hungry look on her face.

"And who might you be?" growled Captain, not at all pleased with the way the young cat was looking at him.

Gritting her teeth against her anger, she kept the hungry look on her face. "I-I'm Leaf. I ran away from my parents and I have no home..." she whimpered, ears flattening. Moons of practice helped her in her newest character, a pitiful little kitten.

"Well that's your problem, isn't it?" Cap said flicking his tail in annoyance. Why did cats always seem to think he was the sympathetic type?

Time to bring out the big guns. Leaf broke down crying, real tears that she had worked on moons to practice. "Please help, me! I have nowhere else to go!" she bawled, wiping at her face. She had to bring up painful memories to help her cry, but hopefully, it was worth it.
ooc; Wolves can cry in the other rp.... so why can't cats?

Cap was taken aback by the sudden display of water works, "Well maybe if you'd be willing to do something for me, in return I'd help you out."

Leaf sniffled quietly. "And.... And what would that be?" she asked, already wary.

"I've been around a while," began Cap, "And I've learned a thing or two about lying. So why don't you tell me your real story and then maybe I'll help you." Cap looked Leaf straight in the eye to see her response.

Leaf was about to bluff her way through, but she decided not to. So she blurted out the story. "I come from an awful family, forced to learn awful things. I ran away one night and have been wandering around ever since. I really am hungry, and I want a place to sleep at night. I-I want someone to talk to." she said, whispering the last part. A real tear fell to the ground, but she wiped it away quickly.

Captain watched Leaf's face carefully, but finally decided that she was telling the truth. Cap nodded slowly then said, "What's the magic word?"

"Please?" Leaf whispered, looking up at Captain. A slight smile lit up her starved features, and her tail rose into the air in happiness.

Captain stood and stretched his stiff limbs. He then walked confidently out of the extra crispy building, flicking his tail to signal for leaf to follow.

Leaf stood up and followed, interested at where Captain would lead her.
